New: Save Transactions as Quotes

You can now turn any held transaction into a Quote, making it easy to provide customers with a written price estimate they can take with them or receive by email.

What's New

• Create a quote from a held transaction. When placing a transaction on hold, simply enable "Make this a QUOTE" and choose an expiration date. The printed and emailed receipt will be clearly labeled QUOTE and include the expiration date.

• Print or email quotes. Quotes can be printed or emailed just like any standard receipt, giving customers a convenient copy of their estimate.

• Find quotes faster. The Recall Suspended Transaction screen now includes a Quotes filter, and quotes are clearly identified in the list along with their expiration dates.

Receipt Improvements

We've also made several improvements to held transaction and quote receipts:

• Line-item discounts now appear on hold and quote receipts, matching the formatting used on standard sales receipts.

• Cleaner receipt layout with simplified headings. The STORE RECEIPT label has been removed from hold and quote receipts, and printed notes are now labeled simply NOTES.

• Improved emailed PDFs so the complete receipt—including quantities and amounts—is formatted correctly in the attached PDF.
